Medium distance objectsClosest possible distance between lenses can be achieved by inverting the lens box on one of the cameras. These images were taken with an lens distance (center to center) of 9 cm. Shift-click on the images to download the stereo pair. Long distance objects/vistasThese images are made with the cameras in the same orientation. This forces a minimum baseline distance of 17 cm, which is what we used for the images below. This doesn't work for objects closer than 5-8 meters. A nice advantage is that there is no vertical offset. Consequently these images didn't require any software alignment.
